One of my favorite camping trips I ever took was to Moab Utah. I flew into Denver to meet my brother and we began a 5 hour drive to our campsite in Moab, UT. Our trip to Moab to was to do a bike trail called "The Whole Enchilada." We both grew up mountain biking and jumped at the opportunity to spend a weekend biking in such a beautiful place. We stayed at a campsite called "Goose Island Campground." The views from our campsite were enriching and the campsite was beautiful. In the desert full of mesa's stretching as far as the eye can see, we hiked at Arches National Park, reaching a widely recognizable stone arch, rising out of the desert. The best part of the day was yet to come, which was our bike trip down a mesa. The Whole Enchilada. From the bike shop Chile Pepper Bike Shop we took an old van up a ridge, into the looming mesas. Other bikers sat in the van, having idle conversation while anticipating the trail ahead. To my dismay the trail began with a vigorous uphill, a true test of endurance. We began the downhill portion approximately thirty three miles in length. The trail was a chain of beautiful views stretching into the distance. The slow decline gradually carrying you down 7,930' descent. The trail is vigorous at some instance, my adrenaline was pumping to keep me going. A long tiresome ride down leads up to the conclusion of the trail, having witnessed the miraculous sights that were present along the way. On the drive back I admired the beauty of Colorado while recollecting upon the amazing journey that I had just taken.
